They tell you that they will buy any vehicle no matter what and will offer you the best price for it, which for anybody nursing half or fully clapped out cars across the United Kingdom sounds like a pretty great deal. After all, if you cannot sell the vehicle on to another buyer, why not take it to a firm that guarantees to buy any vehicle for cash?
Well, as far as we are concerned the answer is a very simple one – they will not buy any car. Here at Take My Scrap Car, we are in the business of taking vehicles that have no place on the UK roads and processing them for recycling. And for doing business with us, we will make sure our clients get some deal sweetener. By contrast, our friends on the other side of the car recycling market are in the business of buying old cars, polishing them up and selling them on. Which basically means that if your vehicle has still some life in it, they can be the guys to go to.
In order to qualify for these kinds of offers and services, well, let us just say it is never as black and while as they want to make out. First up, it all comes down to you to get your vehicle to one of their centres. Needless to say, this could prove to be easier said than done if you are looking at an old vehicle with no insurance, tax and maybe no steering wheel to boot. So, chances are it is going to cost you to get it there, but even then you are far from guaranteed a result. The reason being that before a vehicle is accepted, it is given an in-depth going-over by an expert in order to establish its worth. So, it is all well and good if your car still has some life in it, but if we are talking about a genuine scrap vehicle here, forget about it.
On the whole, it is a bit misleading to claim you will buy any vehicle no matter what when in reality there is more small print and string attached that you would believe.

It is all about taking a realistic look at the vehicle you are getting rid of. If there is still some life in it, sell it on. If there is no life in it, go on and sell it on. If there is no life in it, we are the guys to call!
