They know we’re in the car recycling business and the ‘Take My Scrap Car’ name serves up a pretty clear clue or two, but in terms of what happens when we take a car away, what happens next?
Well, some assume we’re basically just a delivery service taking cars from point A (you) to point B (the recycling centre). Of course if it really was as simple as this, then there’d really be no reason for car recycling services like us to exist – you could just take the darn thing over yourself and pass it on, job done. The thing is, before any Clint Green scrap car can be passed on for recycling, it needs to be stripped and prepped rather extensively in order to make it viable for recycling – and that’s where we come into the picture.
Here at Take My Scrap Car, it’s our job to get the cars in the first place and get them ready for recycling. This means first removing anything from the car that can be reused immediately, along with taking out the few bits and bobs that need to be responsibly disposed of. After this, it’s a rather arduous case of stripping and sorting each of the recyclable materials in order to make sure they’re all separated from one another. Last up, we have to then get the materials in order and shop them off to the recycling centres, at which point they will be taken, processed further and eventually recycled into new materials.
As you can see therefore, there’s quite a lot to it and it’s certainly not as easy as just handing a car over to a recycling plant.
