Just a stone’s throw from the famed Norfolk coastline and boasting a beautiful countryside location, Langham really does pack the best of everything that makes this county great. In fact, around 60% of the village lies within Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So it’s hardly surprising the area attracts vast swathes of visitors (of a variety of species) throughout all four seasons. Langham is known far and wide for its uniquely energetic and dedicated community spirit. If you’d like to get involved in the kinds of village fetes and events that are a long-lost memory in most of the UK, Langham could be the place to head! Traditional, old-fashioned and rightly proud of it in every way!
If you’ve ever wondered what happens to your Langham scrap car after we take it away…well, consider yourself in the minority! Most are simply happy with the fact that they have relieved themselves of a clapped-out car and received a decent payment for doing so. Nevertheless, a fair few of our customers question what it is we do with their once-trusted cars, once our drivers have done their work and carted them away for good.
The answer - first of all, we ensure that anything that cannot be recycled is removed and responsibly disposed of. While at the same time removing anything that doesn’t need to be recycled, given the way in which it is still perfectly fit for use in one kind of application or another. After this, the various materials that go into a car’s construction need to be separated, before being passed on for recycling. Not to mention, the vehicle as a whole being crushed or shredded to one extent or another, before heading off to the recycling plant.
So as you can see, it’s not quite as simple as driving a scrap car into a recycling plant and simply throwing it into the required machinery. Quite a lot needs to happen to your Langham scrap car, before it can be melted down and transformed into all manner of weird and wonderful new creations!
