Part of the civil parish of Weeting-with-Broomhill, Weeting is a small Norfolk Village with more than its fair share of unique points of appeal. Along with the ruins of Weeting Castle, the village is also home to the beautiful Thomas Skarratt Hall and one of the longest continuous rows of thatched roof houses in the country. This iconic role of thatched properties is thought to date back to the 18th century, giving the surrounding space something of a ‘living museum’ feel. Several of the cottages have been ravaged by fire over the years, though in all instances have been lovingly and painstakingly restored to retain their traditional charm and character.
