With official statistics having noted the first ever decline in the UK’s average annual recycling rate, it’s clear that something needs to be done. In terms of what…well, additional statistics really do speak for themselves. Specifically, with 90% of people having said that they would recycle more if it was easier to do so, you could argue it’s a pretty simple solution.

At least, theoretically.

Here at Take My Scrap Car, we’ve been striving for simplicity since the day we went into business. Which means that wherever you are and whenever happens to be convenient for you, that’s just fine by us! We don’t expect you to bend over backwards, in order to do the right thing.
  2. We’ll Take Any Car
    Also unlike so many recycling centres across the country, we are not what you could call ‘picky’ when it comes to the vehicles we are willing to accept. Quite simply, any brand, any model, any age and in any current condition is fair game as far as we’re concerned. After all, it’s not as if we are interested in driving them on public roads! When it comes to recycling, the type and condition of the vehicle is entirely inconsequential.
  3. We’ll Help with the Paperwork
    We’re also delighted to help our customers with the paperwork from start to finish, while always providing the required receipts in accordance with applicable legislation. If you haven’t got a clue how to sort things out with the DVLA for example, you can count on us to help guide you through the process. We believe that peace of mind is just as important as simplicity.
  4. We Do the Job Right!
    Last but not least, we are proud to work strictly in accordance with all applicable EU rules and regulations, when it comes to the way in which your car is recycled. Whereas some simply harvest the most valuable parts and leave the rest to rot, we are all about ensuring that every bit of your car that can be recycled is recycled. Which in most instances is as high as 80% of everything it is made of.
